Shipping Clerk

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, On-Site

Location: Riverside, CA

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for executing shipping operations in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and California labor and safety regulations. This role ensures the accurate preparation, inspection, packaging, and documentation of outgoing shipments as well as providing back up for incoming shipments. The Shipping Clerk works closely with production, customer service, and logistics teams to maintain workflow efficiency and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Essential Functions

• Retrieve manufactured units from warehouse testing rooms and transport to warehouse shipping area. 
• Visually inspect tested units, tag failed units, and transport failed units to designated areas for re-assembly and re-testing. 
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards.
• Verify order accuracy, including quantity, product type, and labeling.
• Generate and manage shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and notify supervisor of restocking needs.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for damage and compliance with specifications.
• Track shipments and communicate status updates to internal teams or customers.
• Maintain organized shipping records and logs for audit and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with receiving and inventory teams to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments are packed correctly and accurately and meet all customer specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot production line machinery and equipment as relevant and necessary.
• Work within standard operating procedures, QC procedures, ISO requirements, job safety procedures, OSHA standards.
• Fulfill daily receiving and shipping workflow processes to meet production deadlines per the supervisor's direction.
• Shipping/Receiving errors are kept within the business needs and requirements. 
• Label bags/boxes/bins/crates.
• Performs cycle counts.
• Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the production organization.
• Clean and maintain warehouse and work areas per company standards and requirements. 
• Provide backup for other positions as necessary and fulfill any other tasks as requested and assigned by management.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate production records.
• Provide backup for other positions as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and overtime.
• Consistent in-person attendance in your assigned physical location with Blacoh is an essential requirement for this position with exceptions established by state and federal laws.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work is performed on the warehouse floor and involves physical activity, including lifting up to 60 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance). Ability to walk, climb, kneel, squat, bend, stand, and reach frequently and for extended periods Must be able to remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Must be able to wear appropriate footwear for long shifts. Use of hand tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment is required. Use of company vehicle (truck, standard transmission) to complete various work-related duties. Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year(s) related warehouse receiving or warehouse production line experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. 
• Must have basic computer skills and operate multiple shipping software systems. 
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to positive team environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints, including handling additional projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Employment in industrial manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO and other quality control programs.
• Experience with warehouse and assembly tooling.

Education*

High school diploma or GED required. College degree, college coursework or trade school coursework preferred. 

*Required experience, training, or educational requirements shall be as indicated or as deemed acceptable by Blacoh Fluid Control management.
