Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Startup and Commissioning Manager in Honolulu to lead commissioning of commercial HVAC systems and make sure every system performs at turnover.

Impact

Commission systems properly so they run at peak efficiency.
Cut warranty callbacks and rework through thorough startup.
Build strong relationships with owners and facility teams at turnover.

Responsibilities

Lead commissioning for chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls.
Develop startup plans, checklists, and functional performance tests.
Coordinate commissioning schedules with project managers, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
Oversee testing, adjusting, and balancing.
Document commissioning and prepare turnover packages.
Train owner maintenance staff.
Troubleshoot issues found during commissioning.
Manage commissioning technicians and verify BAS points with controls teams.

Must-Haves

Hands-on commissioning experience on commercial HVAC systems.
Experience leading technicians and coordinating with owners and subs.
Ability to write and execute functional test procedures.

Nice-to-Haves

Commissioning credentials.
Background with Tridium Niagara, Siemens, or Johnson Controls systems.
EPA Universal certification.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Honolulu.
