Supervisory Criminal Investigator

Supervisory Criminal InvestigatorAs a Supervisory Criminal Investigator, you will perform the following duties:Serve as the Deputy Special Agent in Charge (DSAC) for the Office of Law Enforcement (OLE). Direct office staff, first line supervisors, and a team of special agents and enforcement officers. Serve as a supervisor with the full authority to hire, fire, discipline, and measure employee performance.Enforce laws of the United States which are concerned with the conservation and protection of ocean fisheries, marine mammals, marine protected areas, and endangered species of fish and wildlife. Manage and supervise complex civil and criminal investigations under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Commerce and delegated to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).Oversee investigations in a manner meeting legal and procedural requirements. Apply investigative techniques concerning admissibility of evidence, constitutional rights and search and seizure.Position Requirements:This position requires the submission of a Financial Disclosure Form, SF 450.Subject to financial disclosure as a sworn law enforcement officer, enforcing domestic laws, regulating a non-Federal entity and international treaties.Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top-Secret clearance. This position is a critical, sensitive position that will be subject to a Tier 5 background investigation and maintain eligibility for a Top-Secret clearance; local security access will be limited to Secret level due to Major immediate responsibility for criminal justice or law enforcement activities.Required to bear and maintain proficiency in the use of firearms to perform major duties of the position.This position requires the operation of a Federal motor vehicle.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a government motor vehicle or vessel.This position has physical requirements. Must meet and maintain physical standards and medical requirements.This is a drug testing designated position (TDP).Must sign a mobility agreement.Must be able to work uncontrollable overtime.Position requires travel up to 25%.Physical Requirements:The duties of this position require exposure to inclement weather.Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, and knee joints is required; arms, hands, legs, and feet must be sufficiently intact and functioning in order that applicants may perform the duties satisfactorily.Distant vision must be 20/20 (Snellen) in each eye corrected and no worse than 20/200 (Snellen) uncorrected. Near vision must be normal. Color vision must be sufficient to distinguish basic colors.Hearing must be at 30 db HL RE: ANSI 1969 or better in each ear at 500, 1000, and 2000Hz. At 3000 Hz, hearing must be at 40 db HL or better. Applicants are not permitted to use hearing aids for screening.Since the duties of these positions are exacting and responsible and involve activities under trying conditions, applicants must possess emotional and mental stability. Any physical condition that would cause the applicant to be a hazard to himself/herself, or others may be disqualifying.
