Mental Health Worker

Location: Taunton, MA Start Date: July 20, 2026

Schedule Options: 24, 32, or 40 hours per week, including every other weekend

• 1st Shift: 6:45 AM 3:15 PM | $24/hr
• 2nd Shift: 2:45 PM 11:15 PM | $25/hr
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM | $26/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate Mental Health Workers to provide direct care and support to adult psychiatric patients. This role assists individuals with activities of daily living, promotes independence, and supports recovery using a Person First, Person-Centered approach while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and daily living activities.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake, and output.
• Support patients in developing independent living skills.
• Observe and report patient behaviors and concerns to clinical staff.
• Advocate for patients while ensuring dignity, confidentiality, and human rights.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful or emergency situations.
• Sound judgment and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.

Preferred: Bilingual or multilingual fluency and experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services.
