Senior Director, Senior Counsel About the Company Globally renowned manufacturing company Industry Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in need of a Senior Counsel, Senior Director to lead and enhance its legal functions and processes. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated corporate attorney with a focus on increasing professionalism, automation, efficiency, and excellence within the legal team. This role is pivotal in managing the legal function, including overseeing one additional legal individual overseas and outside counsel. Key responsibilities include partnering with the legal team on M&A activities, negotiating complex commercial contracts, and ensuring compliance in employment matters, litigation, corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements. Applicants for this role at the company should have a JD from a top‑tier law school, with a preference for those with a combination of big law and in‑house experience. A minimum of 6 years' experience is required, with a strong background in commercial contracts, particularly in the industrial manufacturing space. Experience in M&A, intellectual property, trade secrets, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance is also essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of academic and professional achievement, be adept at managing an intellectual property portfolio, and have familiarity with executive compensation and labor and employment matters in an international business context. The role demands a strategic thinker who can work closely with the c‑suite and other leadership on legal matters and is capable of providing sound legal advice and recommendations based on thorough due diligence.
