Director Product Compliance
Merck
Director-level position leading global product compliance and sustainability strategy across Merck's Technology Solutions portfolio. Establishes end-to-end compliance frameworks spanning product lifecycle from design through post-market surveillance, covering electronic products, non-electronic products, and software-enabled solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and deploy global product compliance strategy aligned with business objectives and risk profile
- Establish governance structures, decision rights, and accountability across R&D, Quality, Operations, and supporting functions
- Oversee regulatory monitoring, impact assessments, and multi-year implementation roadmaps
- Lead supplier engagement and compliance data collection across global supply chain
- Develop training programs and compliance policies translating regulations into practical organizational guidance
Requirements
- Deep expertise in product regulatory compliance and international standards
- Experience leading global compliance functions within matrix organizations
- Knowledge of software, cybersecurity, and AI-related regulatory frameworks
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulations into scalable processes
- Supply chain and supplier compliance management experience
