Graduate School Operations Program Manager

Job Information Department : Graduate School Salary : $43,000.00 - $48,900.00 Responsibilities Manages day‑to‑day operations of a small or medium‑sized university program or department. Supervises staff employees, student workers, programs, or processes. Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium‑sized department or program. Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance. Prepares or participates in creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation. Reviews reports of budgets and activities. Prepares ad hoc reports as needed. Administers grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures. May serve as property custodian for the department. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in higher education. Strong service leadership skills, including mutual respect, active listening, and responsiveness. Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures clearly and consistently. Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Education: Requires thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline, or knowledge of more than one professional discipline, typically obtained through a formal, directly job‑related 4‑year degree or equivalent specialized training program.
