Billing Specialist

About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full billing cycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and clearly understood by customers. You will play a key part in maintaining healthy receivables and cash flow while supporting customers with clear explanations of the company's offerings as they relate to their invoices. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers. Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including tracking outstanding balances and following up on overdue payments. Apply customer payments and cash receipts accurately to the correct accounts and invoices. Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through responsive communication regarding billing questions and concerns. Educate customers on the company's different offerings and how they are reflected on their invoices. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues in coordination with internal teams. Maintain organized billing records and documentation to support reporting and audits. Key Requirements Experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or similar finance-related role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling numerical data and documentation. Ability to understand and interpret different company offerings and translate them into clear invoice explanations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple billing priorities. Experience using billing or accounting software systems. General technology proficiency, including working with spreadsheets and ERP or CRM tools. Prior experience in a customer-facing finance or administrative role. Exposure to cash application processes and reconciliations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
