Product Owner Policy Management

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner - Policy Management to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology-enabled business capabilities that enhance the commercial policy lifecycle. In this role, you will serve as a key connector across business, technology, data, and operations, translating business priorities and customer needs into measurable outcomes.As the Product Owner, you will shape and prioritize the product vision, guide an agile squad, and ensure capabilities align with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and evolving customer expectations. You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, optimizing policy management experiences, and delivering solutions that create meaningful value for our customers and our business.Job responsibilities: Accountable for defining and executing the squad vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to enterprise and operating model priorities.Own translation of business strategy into clearly defined objectives and measurable key results (OKRs).Lead and maintain an agile, adaptable squad capable of responding to market, regulatory, and performance changes.Own the end-to-end lifecycle of product capabilities, from intake through delivery, adoption, and optimization.Ensure seamless integration and alignment across adjacent product domains and end-to-end value streams.Drive consistent and high-quality customer and operational experience across all journeys.Deliver measurable business outcomes and value realization aligned to defined objectives.Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value, risk, and compliance requirements.Balance delivery across feature development, technical debt, regulatory mandates, and operational stability.Ensure delivery readiness through clear, timely user stories with defined requirements, acceptance criteria, and business value.Serve as the primary business owner and decision authority for the product, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders.Partner closely with technical product management, engineering, architecture, UX/design, and data & analytics to deliver scalable solutions.Accountable for agile delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant product capabilities.Influence architecture and platform decisions to support long-term product and enterprise scalability.Ensure auditability, traceability, and governance are embedded within product design and delivery.Foster and enable a data-driven culture in partnership with analytics teams.Drive continuous improvement across product performance, delivery effectiveness, and team outcomes.Qualifications/Competencies:Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, technology, analytics, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance (P&C) across product, operations, or technology5+ years in product ownership, product management, or equivalent leadership roleDeep expertise in at least one insurance domain (claims, underwriting, billing, etc.)Proven ability to own and deliver measurable business outcomesStrong understanding of Agile delivery models and product-centric organizationsExperience leading cross-functional teams without direct authorityPreferred Qualifications:Experience in large-scale transformation or operating model changeFamiliarity with core insurance platforms (policy admin, claims, billing)Exposure to data, analytics, and modeling environmentsMBA or advanced degreeSquad Specific Expertise:Demonstrated expertise in commercial policy management, including policy administration, underwriting operations, business process optimization, quality and compliance oversight, rating and pricing orchestration, renewals, endorsements and servicing transactions, bind and issuance, final audits, payment support, digital enablement, and the delivery of efficient, compliant, and customer-centric policy servicing experiencesCompetency Profile:Strategic thinker with strong business and operational acumen Comfortable operating at both executive and team levels Decisive and accountable for outcomes Strong influencer and collaborator Balances innovation with risk management Benefits:Employees and their families are eligible to participate in CopperPoint Insurance Companies benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, a health savings account, a flexible spending account, and a 401k plan.We provide some benefits at no cost to the employee (Basic Life Insurance and AD&D at two times an employee’s annual salary, Short- and Long-term Disability coverage, and Employee Assistant Plan).Employees will accrue 0.0846 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 22 days a year.
