Physical Therapist Assistant - Skilled Nursing

Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist Provide, monitor, and record therapy services for patients/residents/clients with physical, cognitive, and developmental impairments Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with competency levels, patient goals, and practice-setting or state-licensure requirements Exchange information with and provide documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses and communications during intervention Provide information and documentation related to achievement of targeted physical therapy outcomes Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines of the relevant professional organization Perform other related duties as requested Based on facility needs and assigned locations, provide intervention in post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments Requirements Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice Conformity to supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment Valid driver's license when applicable Demonstrates expertise in providing therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist, with a focus on patient-centered interventions and adherence to clinical practice guidelines. Proficient in documentation and communication regarding patient progress and therapy outcomes.
