Technologist-Medical

UF Health is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Gainesville, Florida. As a key member of an academic health center committed to high-quality care, innovative research, and education, you will support physicians and nurses in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate cardiovascular diagnostics and interventional procedures for a diverse patient population.

You will operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as cardiac cath lab systems, hemodynamic monitoring devices, EKG and stress testing equipment, and non-invasive vascular or echocardiography systems as appropriate to your assigned area. During procedures, you will assist the cardiology team with patient positioning, sterile field maintenance, supplies and contrast preparation, image acquisition, and real-time monitoring and documentation of vital signs, waveforms, and other clinical data.

Working in close collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals, you will accurately collect, analyze, and document cardiovascular images and data in the electronic health record, following established protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will contribute to timely workflow in procedure areas by preparing rooms, verifying orders, conducting safety checks, and participating in equipment and inventory maintenance. You will also help identify changes in patient status, respond promptly to urgent situations, and support emergency interventions, using your knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, rhythm recognition, and hemodynamics.
