Job Summary and Qualifications

* This is a FT Day shift position, 8 hour shifts with rotating weekends *

The Occupational Therapist provides high quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient's physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.


Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient's functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example-providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of TX required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, BLS, required
• Minimum of 1 year + experience in Occupational Therapy

It provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric scoliosis and spondylolistheses. We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
