Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, focusing on measurable therapeutic goals. \n
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions through teletherapy, employing various evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques. \n
- Engage in regular monitoring of client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. \n
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards to ensure client confidentiality and care continuity. \n
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations to collaboratively discuss client cases and share insights for best practices. \n
- Commit to ongoing professional development by attending trainings, workshops, and conferences relevant to mental health best practices. \n
As a Mental Health Counselor at Greater Lakes Behavioral Health, you will work with a diverse client population, including adults and adolescents who experience a range of mental health challenges. Clients may be facing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and trauma-related disorders. By providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their mental health.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and valid state license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. \n
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members. \n
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client cases concurrently while adhering to timelines and documentation requirements. \n
- A genuine empathy for clients and a non-judgmental approach to counseling. \n
While not mandatory, experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and those with complex mental health needs will be considered an asset. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems is also beneficial, as we prioritize using technology to enhance client care.
