Senior Business Analyst – SAP S4/Hana Sales & Distribution We are currently seeking an experienced senior business analyst to join our IS team. The SAP Business Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, planning, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing existing and future business systems. This position will consult with business personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements. Location Charlotte, NC, US, 28277 Responsibilities Evaluate user requests for new or modified systems or applications to determine feasibility, cost, time required, compatibility with the current system, computer capabilities, and impact on business. Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify objectives. Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements. Formulate a plan outlining steps required to develop the program and submit the plan to the user for approval. Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate the sequence of steps the program must follow and to describe logical operations involved. Develop necessary system specifications in the form of table layouts, indices, logic definition, database growth rates, flow charts, and other descriptive documentation sufficiently to allow programming to occur. Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Work closely with the user community to explain and train users in the new system. Accept feedback from users on required changes to the system and make changes as required. Assist users to solve operating problems so that the original business objective is met. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the company as internal and external customers. Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive working environment. Works independently with little direction. Strong understanding of implementing, configuring, and supporting Sales and Distribution functionality within SAP. Understanding of integration points between SD and other areas of the SAP system (FI, CO, MM, PP, EWM, TM, and VC). Experience in implementing and supporting Intercompany. Experience in understanding, implementing, and supporting the integration and interactions between Logistics and Warehouse Management. Experience in developing reporting tools and utilizing Sales reporting tools available within SAP. AI experience with SAP Joule is a plus. Required Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. 8+ years of experience with SAP in Sales & Distribution (SD) and Shipping and Logistics (LE). Experience in SAP S4/Hana. Experience with Customer Management, Pricing, Discounting, Quotes, Order Management, EDI/IDOCs, ATP, Advanced ATP, Backorder Processing, Intercompany, Third-Party, Delivery, Billing, Returns. Familiar with Variant Configuration and/or Sales Tools such as Configure, Price, & Quote (CPQ). Design scalable solutions that integrate with WM/EWM, TM, and/or external systems. Ensure compliance with SAP standards and understand the principles of clean-core and upgrade-safe design decisions. Good understanding and knowledge in Fiori apps. 10%+ travel domestically and internationally to Columbus McKinnon’s footprint.
