Pharmacy operations generally run Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some stores extending to 8 p.m. While specific shift hours cannot be guaranteed, this position is designed for pharmacists seeking part-time work, ideally 2-4 days a week, to cover call-outs, vacations, and periods of high volume. Daily prescription volumes average between 100-125, and pharmacies vary from strong technician-supported to pharmacist-only sites, emphasizing the importance of thorough pre-assignment training.

Key responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy setting
• Provide immunizations and maintain BLS certification compliance
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy systems for daily operations
• Participate in scheduled training sessions (one 8-hour training shift, additional as needed) to ensure readiness for diverse site requirements
• Support the team with flexible availability to manage volume spikes and absences

Qualifications and experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred; clients highly value recent experience
• Arizona pharmacist license in good standing, no restrictions
• Immunization privileges and current BLS card required
