Description

• Assess individuals from children to seniors through standardized methods and personal observations.
• Create custom treatment plans that meet specific goals along with ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy addressing various aspects including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work alongside physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide education and guidance for patients and families to facilitate progress outside of formal therapy sessions.
• Contribute to inpatient assessments and therapy as needed, assuring seamless continuity of support.
• Document patient progress in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and developments through ongoing training and networking with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is favored.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
