Join Amhof Trucking, a leading asset-based carrier in eastern Iowa! We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker to handle overflow freight and expand our growing brokerage department.
Key Responsibilities:- Prospect, develop, and maintain a consistent book of direct shipper customers.
- Secure spot and contractual freight opportunities exceeding company asset capacity.
- Negotiate competitive rates with shippers and third-party carriers to maximize margins.
- Quote rates quickly using TMS, DAT, and Truckstop.
- Track shipments, dispatch carriers, and provide proactive updates to customers.
- 1+ years of Transportation or Logistics experience (Preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; McLeod TMS & Samsara experience is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
- BCBS Health, Dental, and Life Insurance.
- 401(k) with company match.
- 2 weeks paid vacation + paid holidays.
