Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting, assessing and triaging acuity, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat critical patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a high-acuity setting
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and advanced clinical interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and interdisciplinary staff
- Perform rapid patient assessments and document accurate clinical findings
- Respond to critical situations, including trauma, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support patient stabilization and treatment
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
