Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Location

Roswell, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – 13 Weeks | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed general Medical Surgical unit with a standard patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Care for a patient population that may include post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Float as needed, with occasional assignments to the ICU to cover Medical Surgical overflow or Step Down patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for documentation and patient monitoring
• Adhere to unit protocols, scrub color requirements (Royal Blue), and all state-mandated compliance processes including fingerprinting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Willingness and ability to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to start
• Ability to work every other weekend as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry System
• Prior travel nursing experience or comfort floating to Step Down or ICU environments
