Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in St Joseph, MO. This position is responsible for leading and coaching the sales team to achieve membership and revenue targets, while maintaining high standards of customer service. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and developing new business, conducting club tours, presenting membership options, and closing sales. The Sales Manager will track and analyze sales performance, create and execute local sales and outreach campaigns, and collaborate with club leadership to ensure alignment with company goals. This role also oversees lead management, maintains accurate records in sales systems, and supports a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and prospective members. Qualifications Demonstrated ability in sales leadership, including team supervision, goal setting, and performance management. Experience in membership sales, customer acquisition, and relationship-building, ideally in fitness, hospitality, or service industries. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse prospective members. Competence in basic business and administrative skills, including CRM or sales software use, reporting, and time management. Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to coaching staff and supporting operations. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to revenue growth. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to providing a positive, non-discriminatory member experience. Prior management or supervisory experience is strongly preferred; experience in health clubs or fitness is a plus.
