Certified Medical Assistant Kids Urgent Care

Job Description Medical Assistant - Provides clinical and administrative support in a busy outpatient setting. Performs patient assessments, administers treatments, conducts diagnostic and occupational medicine testing, maintains accurate and legible records, and ensures compliance with infection control and safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform patient check-in, document medical information and vital signs, and screen for abuse or neglect. Administer treatments, medications, and follow-up assessments as ordered by the provider. Conduct diagnostic testing including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, pulse oximetry, and forensic collection per DOT and state guidelines. Complete check-out duties and relay care instructions to patients or families. Perform quality control checks to ensure patient safety and adherence to CDC guidelines. Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors. Train newly hired clinical staff as needed and participate in departmental improvement initiatives. Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and triage situations.
