Chief Pilot

Position Title: Chief Pilot Reports to: Director of Operations ("D.O.") FLSA Status: Full-time; exempt Compensation: $175,000-$200,000 Schedule/Location: Centennial (APA) based in-office position, Monday-Friday 0800-1700; ability to “flex” as needed to accommodate other needs/duties such as flight proficiency/currency, training, etc. Company Description Precision Aircraft Management is a leader in turnkey private aviation in the Rocky Mountains. Role Description The Precision Aircraft Management Chief Pilot reports to the D.O. and maintains a liaison with the D.O. in all operational matters and is the direct supervisor to all pilot staff. Duties may be combined with that of the D.O. and Director of Training. Displays In depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations ("FARs"), International Civil Aviation Organization regulations, Airman’s Information manual, and Corporate Flight operations. Professionalism Effective Communication Excellent Interpersonal skills Analytical knowledge of operations and financial aspects of the aircraft. Responsibilities In coordination with the D.O., verifies that Company flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable FARs and Company regulations and policies. Supervise and manage all Lead Pilots and Pilots not supervised under a Lead Pilot. Review assignment of all flight crew members. Perform duties as a flight crew member when required for proficiency and currency. Pilot Record Database ("PRD") administration. Evaluate records per CFR 111.105 and reporting requirements per 14 CFR 111.200 (can be delegated to Director of Training). In coordination with the D.O. and Human Resources, interview and hire all flight crew personnel and discharge/terminate as required. In coordination with Human Resources (HR) and Director of Training (DOT), completes company indoc training for new-hire pilots, to include criminal history records and background checks as required by regulation. In coordination with the D.O. ensure that current copies of the Precision Aircraft Management General Operations Manual, Letter(s) of Authorization, RVSM, MEL/NEF manuals, as applicable, are carried on board each Precision Aircraft Management aircraft. Manages subscriptions and data bases pertaining to pilot and flight operations. Designate check airmen and aircraft flight instructors. Designates a sufficient number of check pilots to ensure all flight crews conform to standard procedures as outlined in applicable FARs and Precision Aircraft Management policies, and to ensure that all pilots maintain current route qualifications and receive proficiency checks as required by the FAA and Precision Aircraft Management. Disseminate information to all flight crew members as pertains to routes, airports, NOTAMS, NAVAIDS and Precision Aircraft Management policies. Maintain and make available to all employees a current copy of the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), International Fight Information Manual (IFIM) and supplement(s) as applicable, Aircraft Equipment Manual, Aircraft Flight Manual, 14 CFR Part 91, 14 CFR Part 119, 14 CFR Part 135 and Operations Specifications. On a regular basis reviews crew duty/flight logs for compliance, and when requested submits to FAA all reports pertaining to flight crews. Investigate and report to the D.O. any aircraft accident, reportable incident, record discrepancy, or airman flight violation. Work closely with the Director of Maintenance and D.O. to ensure that aircraft maintenance problems do not unnecessarily disrupt scheduled flight operations. Maintain close liaison with the appropriate FAA personnel on operational matters. Participate in the Manager on Duty ("MOD") rotation, Standards Committee meetings and participate in Safety Committee meetings with the Director of Safety. Will be designated the Alternate AOSC (Security coordinator) for the company’s Twelve Five Standard Security Program. Qualifications College degree (preferred) Meets the requirements of 14 CFR Parts 119.7(c), 135.95, 135.247, 135.293, 135.297, 135.299 and maintains a current FAA medical certificate as required for flight operations. 3+ years’ aviation management experience (preferred) Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time as required by piloting and office duties, and tolerate being exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions while outside including but not limited to heat, cold and other adverse meteorological conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr Stryker Corporation
