Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic food production facility. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing equipment operates smoothly, supporting our commitment to food safety, production efficiency, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on processing equipment, conveyors, pumps, packaging machinery, ovens, mixers, and other production systems.
  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure continuous operation.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, accurately document all work performed, and assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and OSHA safety standards diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, utilizing tools properly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, notifying supervisors when restocking is needed.
  • Utilize CMMS software to log work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals with ease.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; technical certifications are a plus.
