Posting Information Department: Medicine-Hematology - 411490 Posting Open Date: 09/16/2022 Position Type: Permanent Faculty Working Title: Hematologist/Oncologist, Open Rank, Leukemia Investigator Appointment Type: Open Rank Vacancy ID: FAC0004204 Full-time/Part-time: Full-Time Permanent Hours per week: 40 Location: North Carolina, US Proposed Start Date: 07/01/2023 Position Summary The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting faculty at all ranks interested in clinical research or clinician educator positions focused on the management of patients with acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. The candidate will be expected to work with a group of faculty and APPs in the management of patients with acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and MDS /myeloproliferative neoplasms, participating in a robust and active inpatient and outpatient clinical research program in Leukemia. Responsibilities include attending on the inpatient hematologic malignancy service and managing patients with acute leukemia and MDS in the outpatient clinics at UNC or affiliated Cancer Centers. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements MD, MD/PhD, DO or MBBS degree. Completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology. Board eligible/certified in hematology and/or oncology. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience At least three years of experience managing patients with acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. History of leading clinical research studies for this patient population. Experience working collaboratively in an academic medical setting and mentoring hematology/oncology trainees.
