Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC, ASLS preferred Must-Have: Charting system experience preferred; EPIC charting experience required Description: Position available for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The role requires floating as needed. Every other weekend and holiday availability is required. The nursing team cares for a diverse range of patients and diagnoses. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. A daily census of approximately 96 patients is expected. The unit is equipped to handle multiple emergency situations. Emergency cases include respiratory distress, chest pain, trauma, sepsis, and more. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Preferred experience includes working in a Level II Trauma Center. Nurses will provide care for critically ill patients and those requiring immediate attention. An understanding of clinical procedures such as blood product administration, central line management, and ventilator care is desirable. Additional expertise in triage and emergency protocols will be beneficial. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Candidates should be prepared for a high patient ratio during shifts.
