Work Shop Manager

The Work Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of a fast‑paced workshop within a warehouse environment. This includes managing the maintenance, repair, cleaning, and preparation of inventory. The role ensures all items are event‑ready, safe, and meet company quality standards. Key Requirements Managing a team of 27 employees. Strong experience in upholstery, carpentry, and painting. Hands‑on trade or technical repair background preferred. Responsible for repairing all equipment. Daily interaction with vendors and external partners. Strong leadership presence – personality is key for this role. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily workshop operations including cleaning, repairing, staging, and prepping equipment. Manage inventory control and tracking of all assets. Ensure all equipment meets strict quality and safety standards prior to deployment. Supervise, train, and schedule trade shop staff (27 employees). Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and event teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Implement preventative maintenance programs across all rental inventory. Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant work environment. Manage vendor relationships related to repairs and equipment services. Support event logistics, including setup and breakdown as needed. Track inventory movement, repairs, and quality control documentation. Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and turnaround time. Qualifications 3–7+ years in operations, warehouse management, or workshop management preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair experience. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Ability to lift, move, and equip items safely. Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems a plus.
