Information Technology Support Technician

Looking for Deskside Support Technician Associates Location: Hybrid Roles in Taylor, TX 76574 - 2 days Onsite and 3 days Remote Duration: 6+ months with possibility of longer term extensions Pay Rate: $31/hr - $33/hr on W2 Role: Assist with equipment logistics, imaging, asset management, and basic hardware support, freeing up our technicians to focus on their primary duties. This is an entry-level opportunity for a tech-savvy, organized, and dependable individual looking to build a foundation in IT. Responsibilities: Sets up equipment for training sessions and events as needed Tears down and returns equipment for training sessions and events once complete Image new workstations for use by all technicians Contacts users to schedule and issue equipment upon request Assists with asset management, including recycling and issuing equipment Deliver new hire equipment to end users Helps organize and track IT assets to maintain accurate records of equipment location and status Assists with troubleshooting hardware issues when equipment needs repair Assists with floor-level hardware issues such as broken keyboards, mice, monitors, and docking stations Maintains inventory logs and performs periodic physical audits of IT storage areas Maintains stock of equipment and supplies in the IT storage room, restocking as necessary when levels run low Performs basic cable management and organization at end-user desks Performs drive cloning to upgrade users hard drives when additional storage space is needed Assists with Windows 11 upgrades on existing workstations following documented procedures Delivers a high level of customer service when interacting with end users during deliveries and equipment exchanges Maintains strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing assets and inventory Maintaining or updating simple how-to guides/checklist for common setup tasks Logging basic ticket updates or status notes in your ticketing system for tasks complete May shadow senior technicians on basic troubleshooting to build foundational support knowledge Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required #J-18808-Ljbffr
