Travel Nurse (RN) ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU


Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36 hrs/week , every third weekend

Length: 8 weeks

Requirements:

• NH license
• 2 Years Experience
• Must have successfully completed at least one travel assignment
• AHA BLS, ACLS
• Prefer more than 1. 2+ years experience

Other Details:

• 10 bed ICU - Types of Cases / Patients in ICU: Critically ill adult patients: medical emergencies, post surgical care, respiratory failure, sepsis etc. (the typical mix for community hospital ICUs) - since there are intensivists and hospitalists, and the hospital handles specialty services (cardiac, surgery, etc.)
• Some pediatric critical care: Exeter doesn't have its own full pediatric ICU in many reports; often when children become critically ill, they may need to be transferred to larger tertiary pediatric centers
• But the ICU does manage some ill children in certain situations (e.g. early in illness, stabilizing) when pediatric needs are involved
• Stroke patients: Exeter has telestroke / tele - neurology services, because they are certified as a Primary Stroke Center. So acute stroke patients may be managed in ICU if needed
