About the Role:

The Non Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient care operations. This position involves assisting with patient preparation, taking vital signs, and managing medical records, all while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. The role requires effective communication with patients and healthcare team members to facilitate efficient workflow and enhance patient experience. The Non Certified Medical Assistant contributes to maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to healthcare regulations and protocols. Ultimately, this position supports the delivery of high-quality healthcare services by enabling providers to focus on diagnosis and treatment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to perform routine clinical tasks under supervision.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current registration as a Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment, particularly in pulmonary or sleep medicine, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Manage patient records, including updating charts and entering data into electronic health systems.
• Schedule patient appointments and handle front desk administrative duties as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and medical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide instructions and answer basic questions.
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and safety protocols.

Skills:
