Systems Engineer, Healthcare IT

Salary: $104,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• 4+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
• Proficiency with a scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, or similar
• Working knowledge of networking protocols including DNS, and TCP/IP
• Background in Windows and macOS systems administration
• Experience designing scripts to reduce operational burden and reviewing scripting changes for maintainability, scalability, and security
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
• AWS certification, such as Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer, or equivalent
• Microsoft certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or equivalent

• Own the health, uptime, and performance of a fleet of more than 7,000 healthcare endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
• Develop reusable automation and tooling for device provisioning, patching, compliance enforcement, and configuration management
• Diagnose issues by analyzing logs, understanding dependencies, and tracing failures across endpoint, identity, and network systems
• Provide tier 3 support for production healthcare endpoint infrastructure and resolve complex escalations from field teams
• Connect device management platforms, identity providers, and operational tools through scripting and APIs
• Identify and address operational and security risks, including participation in security compliance reviews and vulnerability management
• Build monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and reporting for device health, patch compliance, login latency, and fleet-wide anomalies
• Support specialized device fleet infrastructure, including image tuning, patching, and monitoring
• Lead operational excellence efforts that deliver measurable gains in reliability, compliance, or reduced support burden
• Create and review SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation while promoting engineering and operational best practices
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure services
