This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact for the 2026-2027 school year, working 40 hours per week across two high schools and one elementary school setting near Springfield, OR.

You’ll split your week between two sites—one focused on special education, the other on building socialization skills. Expect to join a district with a supportive team of 12 Speech-Language Pathologists; while this role works independently on site, you’ll have virtual and monthly team connections, plus strong daily collaboration with special educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Recent experience or passion for working in school settings, especially with life skills programming
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and feeding/swallowing (safe eating) best practices strongly preferred, but not required—training is available
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Willingness to work fully in-person, with no telepractice or hybrid options

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 33 students, focusing on language, social communication, feeding/swallowing safety, and AAC implementation
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to design and implement individualized treatment plans
• Attend IEP meetings, monitor progress, and maintain timely, clear documentation
• Participate in monthly SLP team meetings and ongoing professional development
