Farrell Insulation is seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman to support field operations by performing high-quality residential repairs and finishing work. This role focuses on drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and trim work related to insulation and home performance services.

This position requires frequent travel and overnight stays based on project locations. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and delivers excellent results in customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Perform drywall repairs including patching, finishing, and texture matching
• Install Doors and Windows
• Complete interior and exterior painting
• Perform carpentry and trim work including installation and repairs
• Restore areas impacted during insulation or home performance work
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Communicate with homeowners and team members on job progress
• Identify and report additional repair needs
• Operate tools and equipment safely
• Follow all company policies and safety standards

Requirements

• Experience in drywall repair, painting, and carpentry/trim work required
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be willing to travel frequently and stay overnight as needed
• Must complete pre employment background and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and residential environments

Schedule & Travel

• Schedule varies based on operational needs
• Frequent travel required
• Overnight stays required depending on job location
• Early mornings, extended hours, and occasional weekends may be required

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Weekly payroll (paid one week in arrears)
• Paid Time Off (PTO): 96 hours annually (use-it-or-lose-it, not paid out upon separation)
