Join Rusty Taco family as a Kitchen Cook! Established in 2010 in a charmingly converted gas station in Dallas, TX, we pride ourselves on serving authentic Mexican street-style tacos in a unique, friendly atmosphere. With multiple locations across the United States, our mission is to delight our guests with tasty, street-style tacos, homemade salsas, and refreshing margaritas, all crafted with fresh, simple ingredients and traditional Latin American cooking techniques. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every taco is made fresh daily, and we focus on providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Kitchen Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product quality and service, creating flavors that keep our guests returning for more. Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of fresh ingredients for daily menu items
- Cook authentic Mexican tacos and sides in accordance with Rusty Taco standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation
- Assist in menu planning and the development of new dishes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or cooking environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for cooking and dedication to preparing quality food
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
