Position: Front of House Team Lead
Compensation: $15-$18/hr +tips

We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Front of House Team Lead to help oversee daily operations at our flagship.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality. You'll work alongside the team on the floor while helping ensure every shift runs smoothly, efficiently, and to Drugstore's standards.

Shift Leadership & Shift Operations

• Lead front-of-house operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth service and efficient workflow.
• Direct and support Team Members throughout the shift, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities and stays focused.
• Lead by example, stepping into any station as needed during busy periods.
• Help train new Team Members on product preparation, service standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor shift performance, provide real-time guidance, and reinforce Drugstore's standards for service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day operational challenges independently, escalating larger concerns to management when appropriate.
• Communicate shift updates, inventory needs, customer feedback, and operational issues to management.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is properly prepared for service and left in excellent condition.

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Deliver warm, attentive, and exceptional customer service.
• Serve as a point of contact for customer questions, special requests, feedback, and service concerns.
• Resolve guest issues professionally and thoughtfully, with a focus on creating positive outcomes.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and polished front-of-house environment.
• Build familiarity with Drugstore's products, ingredients, and brand philosophy to confidently guide guests through the menu.

Food & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare smoothies, espresso drinks, matcha, teas, and frozen kefir according to Drugstore's recipes and quality standards.
• Operate beverage equipment and frozen kefir machines safely and consistently.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and with attention to presentation.
• Support order fulfillment, including operating the POS, packaging orders, calling out completed orders, and handing food and beverages to guests.
• Maintain consistency in product quality, portioning, and presentation across the team.

Store Standards & Organization

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout all front-of-house areas, including counters, equipment, customer spaces, and service stations.
• Ensure proper stocking, labeling, rotation, and storage of ingredients, supplies, packaging, and merchandise.
• Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate replenishment needs.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
• Ensure opening, closing, and cleaning checklists are completed accurately.
• Support cash handling, register reconciliation, and other shift-level administrative tasks as assigned.

• Previous experience in a fast-casual restaurant, café, coffee shop, or quick-service hospitality environment.
• Prior shift lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence directing a shift while remaining collaborative and hands-on.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during high-volume service.
• Genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, food, beverages, and guest experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of a fast-paced food service role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
