Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized infusion nursing care to pediatric patients with cancer and sickle cell disease in an inpatient or outpatient setting. Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care while adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and other infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders.
• Perform venipuncture and manage central lines, PICCs, A-lines, and other vascular access devices.
• Conduct wound care, phlebotomy, and maintain patient comfort during treatments.
• Float within pediatric, adolescent, and PICU step-down units based on patient needs and staffing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with required certifications such as APHON, BLS, and PALS prior to start.
• Document all care accurately in EPIC and other electronic health record systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess 2+ years of Hem/Onc infusion experience, with pediatric patient care preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC, PEWs, and infusion-related procedures.
• Be flexible to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and holidays as scheduled.
• Display strong clinical skills in chemo administration, wound care, and vascular access management.
• Complete de-escalation training if applicable within 14 days of employment.
