Location: Headquarters office in Bismarck, ND Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded in 1911. We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta conducts vital waterfowl research and promotes and protects the continuing tradition of waterfowl hunting in North America. JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Major Gifts Development Coordinator is responsible for administering key operational functions of the Major and Planned Gifts program. This position manages donor data and stewardship processes, develops and analyzes donor and gift reports, supports portfolio management, coordinates donor recognition initiatives, and leads assigned development projects. The position exercises independent judgment in evaluating donor information, identifying data and process issues, determining appropriate follow-up, and recommending improvements. The position works collaboratively with Development, Finance, Marketing and Communications, and other departments to support accurate information, effective donor stewardship, and efficient execution of Major and Planned Gifts initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administer major and planned gift operations by overseeing the accuracy, completeness, and timely maintenance of gift, pledge, commitment, donor, and related information within the CRM. Manage donor acknowledgement and stewardship processes, ensuring appropriate documentation, timely follow-up, and accurate records while exercising judgment in resolving issues and determining appropriate next steps. Analyze donor and gift information from the CRM, donor research platforms, and other systems to identify trends, opportunities, data discrepancies, and information relevant to major and planned giving strategies. Develop and maintain reports and analytical resources used by the Major and Planned Gifts team to evaluate donor activity, giving trends, portfolio activity, stewardship efforts, and fundraising progress. Administer donor recognition programs, including monitoring giving milestones, affinity group participation, cumulative giving, recognition criteria, and related donor information. Support major and planned gift portfolio management by maintaining accurate portfolio information, tracking donor activity and progress, identifying data gaps, and preparing information for portfolio reviews and development discussions. Coordinate and execute donor communications and stewardship initiatives, including mailings, recognition communications, special projects, and other donor-facing activities. Coordinate operational aspects of major and planned giving events and initiatives, including donor lists, invitations, communications, materials, logistics, follow-up, and related project activities. Monitor and reconcile departmental expenses associated with Major and Planned Gifts, identify discrepancies, maintain supporting documentation, and coordinate with Finance to resolve issues as appropriate. Evaluate and recommend improvements to development processes, systems, and procedures to improve data accuracy, operational efficiency, donor stewardship, reporting, and support of fundraising objectives. Oversee major and planned giving resources and materials, establishing appropriate processes for inventory, distribution, tracking, and availability of donor communications and recognition materials. Lead assigned development projects and initiatives from planning through completion, establishing timelines, coordinating internal resources, monitoring progress, identifying obstacles, and communicating status and recommendations to appropriate team members. Collaborate with Development, Finance, Marketing and Communications, and other departments to coordinate information, resolve operational issues, and support organizational fundraising priorities. Experience working with CRM or donor database systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to exercise independent judgment, resolve operational issues, and work effectively with limited supervision.
