Your Assistant Manager role will include leadership responsibilities in one or more of the following areas of the business: Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations and Merchandising. The area of responsibility will be determined based on business needs along with your experience, skills and career goals. Your primary job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values Analyze business trends utilizing all available reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action Consistently exemplify, maintain, and foster the culture and values of World Market Plan for and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by and in the absence of the Store Manager Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance, customer-focused team that aligns with our company values through training, recognition, and performance management Utilize all company tools and training resources to educate and validate team execution of key business functions Validate and maintain all Loss Prevention policies and procedures and inventory management initiatives Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability Skills & Experience You’ll Bring Proven leadership experience delivering results, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly Ability to provide in the moment coaching to associates Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively Ability to plan and prioritize according to the needs of the business Strong sense of urgency Attention to detail Creative problem solving Sound decision‑making skills Effective delegation skills Ability to execute daily priorities efficiently Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast‑paced specialty retail environment preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on business needs Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed Minimum age: 21 years Hourly Pay Range is $20.00-$24.00 Full time and Part time associates are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan after three (3) months of service. All associates earn paid sick leave. In addition, Full time associates receive vacation and paid holidays. Benefits for full-time employment on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment include offerings for programs including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending, Commuter Benefits and Employee Assistance.
