Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer In this role, you will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for preventive quality engineering, systemic problem‑solving, and customer quality execution throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead complex quality investigations, drive effective corrective actions, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer‑facing teams to ensure products and processes meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working within highly regulated manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of industry quality standards and certifications. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to root cause analysis, data‑driven decision making, process improvement, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead investigations into quality issues and drive sustainable corrective actions. Support compliance with applicable aerospace and quality management system requirements. Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve process capability and product quality. Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Serve as a technical quality leader for manufacturing and engineering initiatives. Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on defect prevention and customer satisfaction. Essential Skills Experience in quality assurance and root cause analysis. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. BS Degree in engineering with 5-10 years of experience or 10+ years without a degree. Experience with quality audits including 2nd and 3rd party audits. Proficiency in root cause analysis and FEA. Mentorship and leadership abilities. Six Sigma certification. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong communication skills for exposing ideas and pushing back on other engineers. Ability to teach others and present data effectively. Experience conducting calls and meetings. Excellent collaboration skills. Work Environment This is an onsite position located in Huntsville, working from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST. You will be part of a team of four other entry to mid‑level quality engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL. Pay and Benefits Pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
