OTR Company Driver

Overview Waletich Transportation is seeking experienced and motivated company drivers to join our OTR team. In this role, you’ll operate commercial tractor-trailers on long-distance routes, delivering freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities Operate tractor‑trailer equipment hauling dry van freight over long‑distance routes in compliance with DOT regulations. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, including brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) for hours of service, mileage, fuel usage, delivery times, and route details in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit. Ensure timely delivery of goods to various destinations while upholding safety standards and customer service excellence. Requirements Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Minimum of 1 year of over‑the‑road (OTR) experience. Strong understanding of DOT regulations regarding hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols. Additional Information Majority of freight is from and to the Twin Cities in Minnesota, with routes to California, Texas, the Carolinas, and the eastern coast, avoiding New York and New Jersey.
