Qualifications/Requirements:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Equal Employment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, advisor, and practitioner (e.g., complaint processing) to the installation Equal Opportunity (EO) program on EO matters related to military equal opportunity (MEO) and civilian equal employment opportunity (EEO). They will assist with promoting an environment in which personnel are empowered to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment.

Obtain maintain a Security clearance.

This position may occasionally require travel.

Must have completed all required initial EO training prescribed by law and policy within the specified period as a condition of employment to be authorized to directly interact/participate in processing MEO and EEO complaints and gain access to the DAF Equal Opportunity Information Technology System.

Must be certified in mediation through completion of mediation training and maintain certification through annual refresher training.

Incumbent is required to maintain confidentiality of civilian EEO complaint information, case files, interviews, etc., that pertain to the EO office.

This position is designated as a Mission Critical Occupation (MCO) and may require support of mobility or Readiness Center operations in an exercise or contingency situation.

May be required to work irregular hours or overtime.

KSAs (optional):

Knowledge of EO (MEO and EEO) concepts; principles; practices; and requirements based on laws, regulations, executive orders, and DoD, DAF, and MAJCOM policies, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge of EEOC, DoD, and DAF organizational structure and functions, including the nature of their missions, goals, objectives, and priorities; and the composition of the relevant Total Force workforce eligible for EO services.

Knowledge of human relations behaviors, organizational and command climate, and other related EO issues that may positively or adversely affect morale and mission readiness of installation personnel and strategies to address or communicate to leadership to resolve identified issues.

Skill in advising and counseling on the EO (MEO and EEO) program, program compliance, and requiring the interpretation and explanation of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices.

Ability to effectively and timely process complaints and NDR using effective fact finding, analytical, and evaluation methods to accurately assess information, make sound decisions, and communicate outcomes while remaining impartial and professional at all times.

Ability to effectively, efficiently, timely, non-judgmentally, establish working relationships with and appropriately communicate orally and in writing sensitive, difficult, controversial, and complex EO matters with commander(s), managers, employees, stakeholders, and installation population, as appropriate.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Join the VC-25B program (AFLCMC/WVB) as an Avionics Engineer and play a key role in delivering the next Air Force One. In this position, you will help drive design integration, testing, and requirements verification for this critical ACAT 1 program. This position sits at a critical juncture as the program stands on the cusp of transitioning into active developmental testing and airworthiness determination. You will immediately guide the integration and testing of flight deck subsystems, collaborating closely on-site with contractor teams, government personnel, and the user community to prepare for and execute these upcoming test phases. Your primary mission is to provide technical oversight, ensuring the aircraft's avionics architecture is airworthy and ready for flight.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Oversight: Oversee and verify flight-deck avionics requirements and witness specification verification.

Airworthiness Audits: Conduct technical reviews of compliance artifacts and perform Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) on the aircraft.

Obsolescence Management: Proactively assess engineering solutions to mitigate technical and schedule risks associated with component obsolescence.

Required Qualifications Competencies:

Avionics integration experience

Demonstrated expertise in Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance / Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) and Navigation/Air Data Systems on commercial, commercial-derivative, or military aircraft.

Security Clearance: Must currently possess or be able to obtain a security clearance commensurate with the position's sensitivity.

U.S. Citizenship

B.S. in engineering or related field.

This position is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The selectee must meet or be capable of achieving the APDP certification as designated on the position description within the defined grace period for that certification level after assignment.

This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
