As a Security Officer Patrol Response Team in Nottingham, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while bringing an agile, innovative approach to daily responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations and activities according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces within the retail location, assisting with access control, crowd management, and policy compliance.
• Communicate with property management, local contacts, and/or first responders as needed regarding security-related issues, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and incident follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
