X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. This position focuses on producing high-quality radiographs of specific body parts as directed by physicians while ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Job Summary

The X-Ray Technologist will operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic imaging according to prescribed protocols and standards. This role involves patient interaction, preparation of the examination area, and collaboration with medical staff.

Essential Functions

• Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams.
• Position patients accurately for imaging exams.
• Monitor patients and ensure their safety during examinations.
• Produce diagnostic images and document exam information.
• Report important findings to the physician.
• Verify exams on PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R) certification (Required).
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist License (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (Required).
• At least two years of recent experience in the field (Preferred).

Organizational Requirements

Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients is imperative. All associates are required to receive the necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may be considered.
