OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Kenner, LA by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Extra Stops: $50 per additional stop
- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $100 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Join HMD Trucking’s national dry van network operating through Kenner, LA. We want experienced solo CDL-A drivers who value predictable OTR lanes, modern tractors, and a safety-focused team.
Core duties:
- Drive OTR dry van tractor-trailers on coast-to-coast routes, ensuring secure, on-time deliveries.
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and report service needs to dispatch.
- Communicate with operations about routing, detention, and delivery windows.
Company support: late-model trucks under 3 years with sleepers, APUs and inverters, dependable in-house maintenance, strong mileage pay starting at 65¢/mi (weekly averages ~2,500 miles), plus safety, inspection and referral bonuses, home every two weeks, and full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
Minimum: CDL-A and 12+ months verifiable driving experience.
