Nurse Practitioner - West Valley Urology

Work Location: West Hills, CA, USA Onsite or Remote Fully On-Site Work Schedule M-F, 8a-5p Salary Range : $93.81 - 133.97 Hourly Employment Type Duration Indefinite Primary Duties and Responsibilities The UCLA Department of Urology is looking to fill the role of a Nurse Practitioner (NP). The NP is expected to provide exemplary patient care consistent with the UCLA Health CICARE Service Excellence. This individual will review medical histories, evaluate patients in clinic and via telemedicine, perform comprehensive physical examination, review laboratory and imaging results, formulate treatment plans, manage prescriptions, and provide patient education. The NP will manage clinical questions by telephone and Epic inbasket, perform procedures as needed, manage clinical issues that arise following procedures and surgeries, address prescription-related issues such as prior authorization, and carry out related tasks for the UCLA Department of Urology under the supervision of the attending urologists. Salary range: $93.81- $133.97/hourly Job Qualifications MSN or DNP with Adult/Gero Acute Care NP specialty- required CA RN and NP certification, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II- required National NP Board certification in Adult-Gero Acute Care/Adult Acute Care NP/FNP/Adult Primary Care specialty - required NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment on CURES- required Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required Ability to set priorities-required Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required Min of 3 years as NP in Urology setting-strongly preferred As a condition of employment the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
