Job Description
Exciting Surgical RN Opportunity in a Dynamic Environment!

Job Description:


- Shifts :
- Rotating schedule of 2 shifts of 12 hours and 2 shifts of 8 hours
- Day shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (12 hours) or 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (8 hours)
- Afternoon shifts: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM (12 hours)


- Unit Highlights :
- 33 total OR suites (23 on 5 North & 10 on 2 West)
- Primarily perform outpatient cases on 2 West


- Case Volume :
- Average 80-120 cases per day


- Required Certification :
- BLS (Basic Life Support)


- Common Surgical Services :
- Trauma: Level I Trauma Center - 24/7 Poly Trauma response
- Orthopedics: Major Ortho, joints, spines, sports medicine, trauma
- Neuro: Cranies & spines
- Xi Robotics: Surgical Oncology, Urology, & GYN (preferred but not required)
- Bariatric Program
- ENT: Head & neck free flaps & reconstruction, basic ENT cases
- Ophthalmology: Retina, cataracts, & oculoplasties


- Experience & Skills Required :
- Must be able to circulate independently
- Willingness to take call as required
- Scrubbing necessary for RN's


- Call Requirements :
- Expected to take 20-30 hours of standby call in a 4-week period with a 30-minute response time


- Orientation :
- Comprehensive orientation for both 5 North & 2 West (2-3 shifts) including EPIC training


- Work Environment :
- Utilize basic OR equipment: Bovie machines, forced air warmers, Neptune suction, drill consoles, Xi Robotics, Ligasure, Argon Beam
