Payroll Specialist - temporary on going (JN -052026-422890) Livermore, California Salary: USD29 - USD40 per hour Position: Payroll Specialist Location: Livermore, CA Duration: Temporary (ongoing) Pay Range: $29–$40/hour We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to support a client in Livermore. This role will focus on ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance, and supporting system-related activities and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience with timekeeping systems and payroll platforms, along with strong analytical skills. What You’ll Be Responsible For Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, including diverse workforce groups Validate payroll inputs such as timecards, pay rate changes, deductions, and earnings codes Assist with regular payroll cycles, as well as off‑cycle runs and manual payments Support calculations related to overtime, shift premiums, and specialized pay structures Ensure payroll practices comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Apply union agreements and pay rules accurately with team guidance as needed Participate in payroll audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation Work within payroll and timekeeping systems (such as SAP SuccessFactors and UKG/Kronos) to manage data and processes Help reconcile and validate information between payroll and time tracking systems Generate routine payroll reports, identify inconsistencies, and elevate concerns when necessary Use Excel for data analysis, including lookups, validations, and basic reconciliations Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll‑related questions and discrepancies Provide responsive support to employees regarding payroll inquiries Contribute to system testing, process improvements, and workflow enhancements Assist with additional HR initiatives or special projects as needed What We’re Looking For Experience processing payroll in a multi‑employee environment Familiarity with UKG/Kronos or similar time and attendance systems (required) Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is a plus Strong Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation work Solid understanding of payroll compliance and best practices High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail Ability to manage deadlines and adapt in a dynamic setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Ledgent-Finance-
