Founded in 1834, Upstate is the 15th oldest medical school in the United States and is the only medical school in Central New York. The school is an upper-division transfer and doctoral university with degree granting programs within the College of Medicine (COM), College of Nursing, College of Health Professions, and the College of Graduate Studies. The university is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. As one of only 140 academic medical centers in the United States, the Upstate University Health System serves over 1.8 million people, often the most seriously ill and injured, and includes Upstate University Hospital; the region's only Level 1 trauma and burn center, Upstate Community Hospital, Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, Upstate Brain & Spine Center, Upstate Heart and Vascular Center, Upstate Cancer Center and numerous satellite sites covering Central New York.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide external beam treatment planning for the delivery of radiation as prescribed by a physician.Confer with the Radiation Oncologist to design and implement an optimal treatment plan.Provide calculations to deliver prescribed doses of radiation to the patient's tumor volume.Perform and document medical record quality checks.Participate in patient localization, simulation, volume contouring, planning CT procedures and initial treatment set ups.Qualifications/RequirementsCertified Medical Domestrist (CMD) by the Medical Domestrist Certification Board (MDCB)At least two (2) years on continuous work experience witin the last 3 years as a CMDAdditional DetailsLocation - May be floated between hospital's campuses based on operational needs.Length of Contract – 13 week termKurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
