HVAC Mechanic – Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital – 3rd Shift Salary: $25 to $38 per hour. Schedule: 3rd shift, 11:30 pm – 7:00 am (days of the week TBD). Job Summary The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the facilities engineering and maintenance departments. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building systems. Responsibilities Update work statuses and document completed tasks in the CMMS using a mobile device. Help establish staffing, materials, and timelines for jobs and projects. Clean, lubricate, service, repair, and diagnose malfunctions of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, food service equipment, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems and fire alarm systems. Assist in decision‑making for all repairs and report major issues to the manager. Construct, finish, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems or related facilities, using power and hand tools. Review outside vendor projects and create punch lists. Analyze and correct complex building system issues and electro‑mechanical problems related to utilities. Support project management activities as needed. Respond to emergency problems and perform emergency repairs. Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete P.M. work orders, tests, and inspections. Make recommendations for modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems. Maintain shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe condition. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an institutional setting. HVAC certification or license highly preferred. Experience with blueprints and schematics. General understanding of electro‑mechanical equipment. Rudimentary ability to operate hand‑operated construction equipment. Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel, bend, stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage. Life insurance and AD.
