CNC Machinery Maintenance Mechanic — Ontario, CA

Picture your day in a high‑mix, fast‑paced manufacturing plant in Ontario, CA: you start with a preventative maintenance round on CNC mills and lathes, checking lubrication and coolant levels, listening for worn bearings, and fine‑tuning gibs. Mid‑morning, a proximity switch flags an alarm—you diagnose the fault, replace the component, and reset pump pressure to spec. After lunch, you swap a hydraulic hose, balance a conveyor drive, and handle a quick three‑phase motor wiring check to get a cell back online. You wrap up by updating maintenance logs, tidying your work area, and planning tomorrow’s PM route.

• Own preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on CNC machinery and related production equipment
• Independently troubleshoot mechanical faults to root cause
• Service hydraulic and pneumatic circuits; replace hoses, seals, valves, and fittings
• Change belts, bearings, and other wear parts; perform machine alignments and adjustments (gibs, proximity switches, pump pressures)
• Maintain lubrication and coolant delivery systems for reliable operation
• Execute light electrical work on single‑phase and three‑phase circuits for repairs and simple installs
• Support basic facility upkeep such as lighting and general building systems
• Read and apply mechanical prints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Work safely, keep detailed notes, and maintain a clean, organized workspace

• 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic in manufacturing
• Hands‑on experience with CNC equipment (preferred)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting capability
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components
• Fluency reading mechanical blueprints/schematics
• Understanding of bearing types and proper applications
• Basic electrical skills for single‑ and three‑phase systems
• Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance, clear communication, and a team mindset

• Structured CNC preventative maintenance programs
• General manufacturing facility maintenance
• Industrial mechanical systems across pumps, motors, and conveyors
• Precision machine alignment and adjustment
