Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mesa, Washington

Exciting opportunity for a contract Speech Language Pathologist to provide in-person services for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role focuses on supporting preschool through 6th grade students, collaborating directly with special education professionals and families. Qualifications:

• Active Washington SLP license required
• Certification as CCC-SLP or CFY candidates encouraged
• Experience working in schools and/or healthcare with pediatric populations
• Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and consultation within special education
• Demonstrated understanding of special education processes, procedures, and disability categories
• Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with staff, families, and community members
• Capacity to plan and organize all phases of student identification and support
• Strong communication skills, including active listening and collaborative problem-solving
• Enthusiasm for incorporating fun and humor into daily practice

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to students identified for services (Preschool-6th grade)
• Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with the Director of Special Education, educators, and families to ensure student success
• Document and monitor student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
• Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute expertise to the multidisciplinary team
• Foster an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
